Cardiff Castle

For those looking to gain a sense of the history and tradition of this marvellous capital city, Cardiff Castle provides a link to the past we can all see in the present day! The site has a wonderful history, charting from its earliest foundations as a Roman fort, through its life as a Medieval castle and into its renovation as a Victorian Gothic revival mansion. In all, the castle boasts over 2000 years of history to discover and explore!

Principality Stadium

The Principality Stadium ranks as one of the most iconic buildings in the whole of the UK. The stadium was built in 1999 as Cardiff were chosen as the host city of that year’s Rugby World Cup. Since then, the 74,500 capacity stadium has proved popular as a host for some of sport and entertainment’s most anticipated events. No matter the occasion, however, a fantastic atmosphere is always guaranteed at the Principality Stadium!

Millennium Centre

The Wales Millennium Centre has become a focal point for the arts in Wales, giving the capital city a truly stunning venue in which to attract the very best performers in the world. The centre, which opened in 2004, has held performances in opera, ballet, dance, comedy and musicals, providing wonderful acoustics across all mediums. Situated in the bay area of Cardiff, the venue is a must see in its architectural beauty.

Motorpoint Arena

As one of Cardiff’s largest event venues, the Motorpoint Arena is a popular destination for fans of many of the world’s biggest stars in entertainment. Since opening in 1993, the venue has played host to some of the most iconic names in music, including Beyonce, Iron Maiden and One Direction. In addition it has also welcomed a wide range of other popular events, from Premier League Darts to X Factor auditions and stand up comedy tours!

St David's Hall

Providing a flavour of culture to the heart of the city, St David’s Hall has continued to host fantastic events since its opening in 1982. The building itself has a unique architectural history to it, while notable events held in the venue include the Welsh Proms and Cardiff University’s annual graduation ceremonies. Through this and its sense of tradition, the hall holds so many happy memories for those who have visited over the years.

Cardiff City Stadium

As well as the Principality Stadium, Cardiff also has another fantastic sporting arena right on its doorstep in the Cardiff City Stadium. Home to Cardiff City Football Club and Wales’ international football team, this modern venue ranks as the second largest in Wales and one of the largest in the UK. Aside from sporting occasions, it has also hosted several high profile concerts since opening in 2009 including visits from Bon Jovi, Stereophonics and Elton John.
